How well suited is your stonehenge aqua hotpress paper for graphite? I'm looking for a smooth paper that can handle various layers of graphite. I work in a realistic style and make use of blending, erasing and shading with various grades of graphite.I need a paper that can handle frequent erasing and harder grades of graphite.

Stonehenge Aqua Hot Press is produced with high quality cotton fibers. The surface is softer than other watercolor and multimedia papers. Although Stonehenge Aqua is a high performing paper, I suggest working on our traditional Stonehenge White for your style of graphite drawing. Stonehenge White is a 100% cotton machine made paper. The surface is extremely durable and has a subtle texture which is ideal for heavy layering and blending. Stonehenge White can handle frequent erasing and harder grades of graphite.

If you wish to try working on Stonehenge Aqua Hot Press, I suggest using a Factis Ultra Soft eraser for erasing and Holbein Soft Tape for masking. These two products have been tested on Stonehenge Aqua and do not pull fibers from the surface.
