I have a client that wants to have some high end (ish) bookplates. I created the design with letterpress in mind. but all i've found paper wise is a 50-60# offset dry gum sheet. The printer doesn't think it's worth it bc the press won't show up with that thin of paper. I can't find thicker dry gum paper for letterpress. The printer suggested offset on 50-60# dry gum which im thinking the client will be disappointed in.
I'm open to suggestions on where to find paper for this. there would be 800 / 3x4 bookplates single color at the end of this.
We suggest looking at the Colorplan Label paper, which is a premium paper with an adhesive backing of substantial weight to accept a nice letterpress impression. The other papers in our portfolio don't have adhesive. However, that can always be added by your printer/converter.
