Ask an Expert - Forum > best high end photo paper to pair with legion bamboo?

Hello - I am making a drum binding (flat-lay) book that will incorporate letterpress printed pages and photographs. I wanted to use legion bamboo white 105 gsm for the letterpress pages, and am wondering if anyone has advice for a mid-gloss, high quality paper to pair with it for the digitally printed photographs. Thank you!

Will you be binding the photos into the book or pasting them onto the letterpressed bamboo? If binding then you'll want to avoid any of the RC papers that have a plastic coating as they will no fold well into the drum binding.

We suggest to look at some of our cotton fine art inkjet semi-gloss papers, such as Moab's Juniper Baryta Rag and Canson Infinity's Platine Fiber Rag. Both these papers are fairly heavy (305gsm and 310gsm, respectively).

If you can use a matte paper instead of a semi-gloss/luster we would suggest moving to the lighter-weight Entrada Rag Natural 190gsm. The added benefit of this paper is it's double-sided, so you can print on both sides, which s perfect for book projects.
